Real Life

My co-anchor, Ty, is a great artist. Usually he draws something on the script during the newscast. Tonight, it was this "doodle" (he says) of us at the new desk, which is also called the newS desk. He highlighted little things for each of us- on me, the cowlicks that make my hair flip up (is that how you'd describe it?)- on him, the tie, jacket, and hair are right on. Charlie - notice the BIG mouth- 'nuff said. And Chelsey- the bright eyes and big smile. The city is covered in smoke right now. If you see pictures on CNN (video, actually) of Fairbanks in the smoke, that's footage I shot today. The smoke isn't nearly as bad as last year. Nonetheless, it has reached hazardous levels. Heather and Martin (DC friends) will be here on Monday. I'll count their visit as a fantastic b'day present! : )
